South Africa
This is where we call home.
What makes South Africa so special is it’s diversity - diversity of people, food, culture and landscapes. There is quite literally something for everyone.
Whether it’s going on Safari to the Kruger, visiting the battlefields of Rorke’s Drift, enjoying the beautiful wine farms and beaches of Cape Town or driving the world famous garden route, you could spend months in South Africa and there would still be so much more to see.
Tanzania
Home to the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro, Tanzania has some of Africa's most iconic landscapes. Time it right and you can witness the Great Migration — over a million wildebeest crossing the plains. Beyond the wildlife, a visit to the Hadzabe — one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes on earth, living near Lake Eyasi — is one of the most humbling and unforgettable cultural experiences Africa has to offer.
After the bush, head to Zanzibar for spice markets, turquoise water and some of the best seafood on the continent.
Botswana
Botswana does wildlife like nowhere else. The Okavango Delta — a vast inland waterway teeming with life — is one of Africa's most extraordinary ecosystems. Glide through its channels by mokoro, watch elephants wade through the floodplains, and fall asleep to the sound of hippos just metres from your tent.
Combine it with the wide-open Makgadikgadi salt pans, the elephant herds of Chobe, and the remoteness of the Central Kalahari and you have a country that delivers some of the most exclusive and immersive safari experiences in the world. Botswana has deliberately kept visitor numbers low and conservation standards high — it's not the cheapest destination in Africa, but that approach is exactly what makes it feel so untouched.
Mozambique
White sand, warm Indian Ocean water, and almost nobody around. Mozambique is where we send clients who want to properly switch off — whether that's after a few days in the South African bush or as a destination in its own right.
It’s slightly less developed than some of it’s Indian Ocean counterparts, but that’s what adds to the charm.
The Bazaruto and Quirimbas archipelagos offer some of the best beach and diving experiences, with a laid-back Portuguese-influenced culture that makes the whole place feel wonderfully unhurried.
For foodies, the seafood on offer is quite spectacular and their Portuguese influenced chicken recipes are cooked like no other.
Namibia
Namibia is a country built on scale. Towering red dunes at Sossusvlei, the wildlife-rich plains of Etosha, the haunting Skeleton Coast, and the desert-adapted elephants of Damaraland — everything here feels vast and untouched.
Whether you choose a self-drive road trip or a fly-in safari between luxury lodges, Namibia rewards you with some of the most dramatic landscapes on the planet and the space to take it all in.
It’s the perfect country to combine with a trip to South Africa or Botswana.
Zambia
Zambia is where safari feels raw and real. Walking safaris were pioneered here, and the South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi national parks remain some of the best places on the continent to get out on foot with expert guides.
Then there's Victoria Falls — one of the natural wonders of the world, best experienced from the Zambian side with a sundowner in hand. Zambia doesn't shout about itself, but it delivers.
Kenya
The Masai Mara needs no introduction — big cats, big skies, and the Great Migration thundering through between July and October. But Kenya is far more than the Mara.
Amboseli offers elephants against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro, Laikipia delivers exclusive conservancy experiences, and when the safari is done, the Kenyan coast is a destination in its own right. Lamu Island in particular — a car-free UNESCO town with centuries of Swahili history — is one of the most special places we recommend for winding down after the bush.
Uganda
Uganda packs an extraordinary amount into a small country. The headline is gorilla trekking — coming face to face with mountain gorillas in the misty forests of Bwindi is one of the most powerful wildlife encounters on earth. But there's much more: chimpanzee tracking in Kibale, the famous tree-climbing lions of Ishasha, and boat safaris on the Kazinga Channel.
Combine it with Kenya's coast and you have a honeymoon or once-in-a-lifetime trip that covers everything from primates in the jungle to sundowners on the Indian Ocean.
Namibia
Four times the size of the UK with just 2 million people — one of the lowest population densities on earth. Namibia is a country defined by space, silence, and ancient landscapes. The towering dunes of Sossusvlei, the wildlife plains of Etosha, stone-age rock art, fossilised forests over 280 million years old, and the cold Atlantic coastline of the Skeleton Coast. Track desert elephants on game drives through Damaraland, kayak the Orange River, and sleep under the darkest skies on earth.
