Hi, I’m Hugo Morrissey.

Having left the UK for the sunny shores of Cape Town, I was inspired to launch Summit & Sea to help others travel well and experience the places that aren’t swarmed with tourists.

From trail running in the mountains, to surfing on the coast, to enjoying great restaurants in Cape Town, wherever I go I love exploring new places. I’m constantly in awe of the food, the music, the kindness of the people, the melting-pot of cultures, and the sheer wildness of Africa. Yet every time I explore a new corner of this continent, I’m profoundly aware that most visitors never quite see it the way it deserves to be seen.

Summit & Sea exists to change that.

Our vision is to be your insider friend in every destination - off the beaten track, away from the crowds, into the places worth finding, the places that only the locals know. Whilst we are experts on Southern Africa, we work with our carefully selected partners around the world so there are few places we can't take you

We're not a big agency with hundreds of itineraries on a shelf. We're a small agency - meaning we can give every trip, and every client, the attention they deserve.
