VISIT LANGA

CAPE TOWN’S OLDEST TOWNSHIP

Most people only see one side of Cape Town - the beaches, the restaurants, the mountains. But there’s so much more to it, and after my first visit to Langa I knew I needed to bring more people here.

Langa was born out of apartheid. Like townships across South Africa, it carries the story of a community denied opportunity because of race - a struggle to find work, get a decent education, stay safe and put food on the table. And yet, walking around Langa, rarely in my life have I witnessed such a strong sense of community and received such a warm, kind welcome.

Langa is alive with entrepreneurship - people creatively making something from nothing - along with great food and incredible art.

If you’d like to explore Langa for an afternoon with our local guide, get in touch and we’ll organise it for you.
